I’m a bit of a shipper myself but yeah, I get that people who aggressively push these ideas whereever they go can be a bit annoying.

What? Are you talking about people who dislike LGBT? I don’t think there are too many of those in this fandom (big fandom, though), but either way, some people just aren’t shippers, and some people ship other ships, so if you’re just talking about those people, I can’t say I find your tone very pleasant. Fact is, nothing is confirmed other than them being best friends, though that’s not to say that there isn’t plenty of room for shippers to interpret them as more.
 
Personally, I have no strong feelings about Lyrabon one way or another, but I have little tolerance for shippers who screech about how their ship is canon when in fact it’s not actually confirmed to be that way, shipping fuel or not. The attitude of “it’s canon!!1!!1!” cropping up every time these two are seen close to each other or displaying any affection is just going to stir up trouble, and won’t in fact change anything.
 
Stuff like this can be seen as a bone for shippers, but it does not make Lyrabon canon. Bottom line is that there’s still plenty of room for people to headcanon them as best friends, or as lovers if they choose.
 
Whatever though, I’m tired and stressed, can’t really put my thoughts together too well right now. Just wanted to try and give a more neutral middle-ground outlook on this, if that’s the right way to put it.
