I’m cool with all those creatures except the wasps. Wasps are jerks that will buzz in your face until you bump into them then sting you like it was your fault, all those other creatures will typically only bite or sting in defense. (I’m even cool with the hornets)
Nicely drawn, I like the linework, the shading and the colors in this picture. One thing I do have to say is that the bugs look a lot different than the rest of the picture, I think it’s due to them not having a line boarder like the ponies/background elements. It’s a bit odd and makes it feel like they were added onto the picture at a different time with a different style but it doesn’t largely detract from the overall picture. Sorry if that doesn’t make sense.

Piece of paper over the bowl, yo. I write a lot, so paper’s almost always nearby. Heck, there’s four or five sheets of Fallout New Vegas character creation information right next to me right now xD .

I do something similar with a bowl I keep on my nightstand. It’s the “designated spider bowl”. Given that my boyfriend is terrified of spiders, that bowl has saved quite a few lives xD .

Just another reason for me to leave them alone. I’m both not afraid and I’m not a fan of killing things, so they can skitter around so long as they don’t skitter around directly on my face xD .
@Joseph Raszagal
Spiders are definitely interesting creatures, and surprising intelligent sometimes. I often wonder just how conscious they are, they probably at least have some form of basic sentience, since they have complex behavior

It was =3 . Besides, even if I wasn’t keen on spiders I already know that wolf spiders are harmless. They don’t actively look for trouble or to bother you; they just keep to their tunnel and wait for some stupid bug to wander in. Why on Earth would I have a reason to hurt the poor thing?
Besides, every basement needs a couple spiders to help keep the riffraff on the decline xD .

Wolf spiders are awesome. I used to feed one crickets in my basement. She built her tunnel in an empty toilet paper roll in the unused basement bathroom (I saved her from Mom when she discovered the web tunnel in the roll xD).
They’re harmless as far as spiders go, and they’re pretty cute. The fuzzy spiders are my favorites =3 .
You know, I never fully understood how people find arthropods ugly or disgusting. Worrying, unnerving, creepy or even scary, that I can generally understand even if I disagree with that view, but the idea of them being aesthetically unpleasant, separately from a real or imagined threat they might present… I don’t get that. There’s a certain set of characteristics that humans are essentially preprogrammed to find pretty and appealing, and you find almost all of them in typical arthropods – they’re shiny, they’re colorful, they have super-ordered and organized bodies, they have interesting and complex body shapes… they’re like tiny skittering jewels or colorful, living clockwork toys. They’re these pretty, shiny little living machines, and I genuinely do not understand why people find them ugly and gross.
This is still one of the most amazing pictures on the entire site. Despite all the nope that’s pictured here, it’s nonetheless absolutely adorable <3 .
