A spider actually jumped at me while I was cleaning the exterior of my family's old above-ground pool. How I regained my balance and survived is miraculous: the pool was built on a stone ledge rising up from the main lawn, so had I fallen, I could've either broken my neck or cracked my skull open. Damn, nature - you scary!
