Well, I think I might see how it works on Adobe Premiere/After Effects then. Anyway I don’t have experience in those programs due my netbook as I said before, I would need to learn everything from zero, but I will follow your advice!

I really, really do not recommend my way of doing it, it’s a tedious process which takes far longer than it should, I only did it because it was based on how I already knew to use flash, if you’re not familiar with Flash then I absolutely recommend trying literally any other program rather than learning how to use flash.

I see, with a little bit of practise and knowing the basic from Flash it shouldn’t be so hard, I only would need to know how it works, later the movement logically will be easier or harder depending of the complexity of what I want to do. I heard that these kind of animations can also be done on Adobe Premiere.
 
Unfortunately, in my netbook I can’t run those programs, but if everything goes fine, I shouldn’t wait too until I buy a new PC. Thank you so much for the answer, it’s going to be useful.

Adobe Flash CS6  
I would have rather used a program with a competent motion editor like Adobe After Effects or ToonBoom, but this was entirely in Flash. I animated the smooth parts by giving each symbol its own timeline, either on different layers in the same shape or embedded so each axis of motion for particular movements had its own timeline so tweens could be added for each axis individually.
 
Hierarchy of symbols looked something like this:
 
Root Timeline  
-arms[frame by frame]  
-body[x axis tween]  
–body[skew tween]  
-head[x axis tween]  
–hair front[x axis tween]  
–hat [x axis warp]  
—hat tip[x axis tween]  
––hat tip[x axis warp]  
–eyes[x axis tween]  
—pupils[x axis tween]  
–Snout[x axis tween]  
—nose[x axis stretch]  
—mouth[x axis stretch]  
—Head [stationary]  
—hair backleft[x axis warp]  
—hair back[x axis tween]  
––hair back[x axis warp]
 
etc.  
the rigging for this wasn’t as complex as the rigging for the nikita one though, as you can imagine the extra axis of moment + rotation and delayed movements of some parts meant that a lot more embedded tweens were necessary.
 
But yeah, it’s the smooth tweening and careful positioning and easing for every single tween which makes it look as good as it does, though I’d rather use something more intuitive and time efficient for such things in the future, but right now Flash is what I’m most familiar with.

I’m not quite sure how to ask this but, how do you do the movement? I mean, each frame doesn’t seem to be drawn by hand (except for the legs), and I’m sure that there’s a program which can do that.

Tags like that have largely been abolished. You can simply search score.gte:1000 instead. You can also add it to your complex watch list. Syntax makes tags like those very unnecessary. Take a bit to study it.
 
To answer your question, no. Nothing has replaced godlike upvotes and upvotes galore/wall of faves is on its way out.

I’m pretty sure tags related to votes and faves will be removed eventually; that tag in particular was probably even more unnecessary.

I have a question about taging. I remember godlike up votes was a tag for pics that have over 1000 upvotes. Then it was taken down. Was there a tag that replaced it? If there was one what was it so I can add it to my watched list.
