it’s more the personality than the smarts that make it fit, out of all of the Mane 6 she’s the one that just seems like they’d peg the “carefree billionaire playboy” personality and she does have a similar vice to Tony Stark already in her cider addiction which one could consider a kid-friendly alcoholism.
 
But I can also see why she doesn’t quite peg the role, which really is the problem with matching canon ponies to characters from other works, it doesn’t always 100% line up and leads to some choices being kinda shaky or that make no sense because it’s working with the leftovers.

I guess, but that’s pretty loose. Rarity always made more sense being Exocentric and Rich (her parents are always on vacation)
