Assuming the artist doesn’t speak English natively, checking the grammar online isn’t going to help 100%. They may assume that it’s correct, “because they checked online.”  
Hell, the grammar error here is kinda subtle, I didn’t notice it at first.
 
“But don’t you think the suit fits me something small?” Add a single “S” and it becomes a grammatically correct sentence. You only put the sentence into character, which is not the same as being grammatically correct. For Applejack to be written in character would require grammar errors. A world of difference, son.

If someone is going to upload a picture with dialogue. They could at least ask someone or check on google how the sentence should be formatted. Otherwise it just sounds silly. Especially if English isn’t their native language.
 
And legitimately being helpful versus being a jerk about it? I don’t see what I did as being a ‘grammar nazi’ and more of ‘guidance’
