I was personally thinking of an episode of Recess, can’t remember which one…
Like in the Powerpuff Girls episode “Meet the Beat-Alls”.
Hopefully, she could make a case that their lives of villainy are putting them in danger, and if they really are friends, they wouldn’t let their friend do crime, and that convinces them to make amends. That, or just arresting the group for their crimes they did do, because even if you have friends, you can also be criminal scum.
It would unfortunately conflict with the shows theme that friendship is innately good. I also like the idea, but the closest we could ever get are bad guys teaming up for their own goals and then losing because they aren’t friends.
Only way she’d get out of that one is if she broke them up, making them easier to defeat.
And there is literally no end to the list of reasons that would be wrong.
I kind of want to see an antagonist or antagonistic group that legitimately are friends or comrades and/or get friendship, so Twilight needs to come up with a more creative solution than just a friendship speech.
What, like every encounter ends not with them agreeing with Twilight, but instead where each encounter causes them to challenge her beliefs on what’s right and wrong and she doesn’t overcome them, slowly turning her away from good to evil, but still powered by friendship?
But did Twilight mentioned Sunset, the Human versions of her kind or even the damn Dazzlings on FIM? No.
If you believe in yourself hard enough, you can be whatever you want.
