The only problem I have with this animation method is that a lot of the time it leaves either pieces of the image behind when it moves, or it looks extremely unnatural and flesh moves in ways it shouldn’t. Nobody is perfect, but I just wish the finished product had a little more time put into it. Not saying that happens with this one. This one is fantastic.
People praise it highly… but there are several flaws like parts of the tail getting cut off in motion, the flesh not shaping properly, finger deformation, and some kinda obvious things. But again, no one is perfect and it takes time to master something like this I’m sure.
I was just going off the fact that HtPot’s other projects have been flash animations, so I figured they (not sure if he or she) were skilled with Flash.
I’m assuming they shape the image in a photo-editing program like photoshop, and then set them to a flash rig and animate it in flash with a bit of special additions. Either Flash or After-effects which can be used to animate and video edit as well.
But this is all assumption. I could be completely wrong.
