Description

I wound up thinking of this when I learned of Starlight’s backstory, then inadvertently compared it to how a Mykan story would usually go:
 
>main character angsts about friend leaving them  
>turns into world destroying angst monster because of it
 
If you see The End of Ends, a Teen Titans fanfic by him, you’ll instantly know what I mean.

The End of Ends
Count Logan became an omnicidal villain simply because he was dumped and because he had a tragic past that the author exaggerates by making it seem like nobody liked him, not even the Titans. A few years after this fic was written, [The Virgin Killer] would kill 6 people and himself because he was enraged that he was a virgin and had a sad past consisting of…watching other people make out and listening to other guys brag about their sexual exploits. He would also write a manifesto stating that he’d like to have women almost completely exterminated and that he intended to kill many more people on his “Day of Retribution”.
I’ve seen that, and it seems the people who wrote it have a big hate-boner for the writer of Count Logan.
I actually read story, and it tells things differently. It wasn’t just a mere dumping that made BB go crazy, but his life of tragedy, misery– always being denied and robbed of happiness and comfort.
In all fairness, anyone would snap in a situation like that.
Also, it turned out, Beast Boy did not choose to become Logan, but he was attacked by the book and taken against his will.
The people of TV-Tropes don’t seem to read between the lines too well.

I’m the same person who wrote this comment.
What will happen if Ben 10 fought Count Logan.
According to the writer, Ben 10 would lose, and Logan would defeat him so easily.
Apparently, that book Logan possesses not only gives him incredible OP abilities, but also rendered him nearly untouchable. Even Darksied and Thanos lost miserably to the guy.

The signature scene for Friendship is Failure is Count Logan ripping a baby’s head off. He’s still supposed to be sympathetic after that. The story shifts the entire blame to everyone but Count Logan for causing his extended universe destroying temper tantrum. The writer uses darkness to cover up bad writing.

Problem with that though is we don’t say mid spree, “oh poor you, trying to kill us, lets hang out afterwards and be besties forever.”
 
I mean they should be kind to Starlight but making her a part of their group in the span of a musical montage was a bit much.
