You mistaking soft wave with something else  
Soft wave is when hair have S wave and they start to curl in (not fully) its completly different than on what Chrysalis have. Easiest to say Chrysalis just don’t have stylized or cutted to same lenght and then its look like this.

Nepenthe is supposed to have an ice theme. Without wind blowing, her mane would hang straight down in straight sheets as icicles might. Chrysalis’ has a bit of a wave to it as it goes down, as seen in vectors like >>973244 (merged)
 
I can see how you might think this picture makes her look like a recolor, but it’s just an artist interpretation. I assure you that lazy palette swapping is as frustrating to me as it is to you. :P

Oh those are wings? I though its just some building in background (coloristic and placement work for it).  
Taller and thinner? Can’t say anything because that artist didn’t draw Chrysalis yet, nothing to compare.
 
And wait… soft wave Chrysalis? What? It’s more like your oc have soft wave hair instead of Chrysalis clearly straight.

But sadly both type of hair pretty much act same in wind (like here)
 
And somehow I still found myself in position where I search for Chrysalis pic, I think why I don’t see that one. Just resemblance is way to big

As the creator and owner of the OC, I can guarantee the character is not a recolor. She’s taller and thinner than Chrysalis with pin straight hair rather than Chryssy’s soft wave, and elongated, pentagonal wings (which ARE visible behind her thighs, you’re just ignoring them). She would look right at home among Carnifex’s changelings. Perhaps Dozer didn’t draw the differences as clearly as he might have, but one grants a degree of artistic licence when commissioning an artist to draw in their style. :)

It have holes in tail, highlight in mane looked like hole (my bad oh wow one difference rest recolor).  
Same face as nothing changed from original. ( I can point out that slight differences can be big deal in facial expression)

Actually not, look at screencaps, pretty much same.
 
Shape of horn counted as artistist version because more than half of artist don’t go with how it is in show, and it only slighty different.
 
I don’t say pic is bad, its just recolor of Chrysalis with changes what trully can be counted as artistist version of how he/she see this.
 
But you know its just my opinion :P

Chrysalis’ pupils also appear alot more slitted than Nepenthe’s, and the shape of the horn is different.

The only defining non-color trait about chrysalis’ hair is that it has holes in it, which this oc actually doesn’t have.
 
And I don’t know where you’re getting “same face” from either. You ought as well say every pony oc ever has the “same face”

Uh… No. This is a light sky blue, Chrysi is more of a teal green

Hair is same, wings arent show, same face, recollored bandanas (firstly I though she is in some kind of suit but I saw later ‘original’ version). Only true different is that she lack of crown what can be told as history or whatever.  
You want good changeling queen OC what is not recolor go look at Carnifex arts.

You must think every OC is a recolor, then, ’cause this shares about as much in common with Crysalis as any given unicorn OC shares with Rarity. :V Different hair, different wings… the only thing it has in common is that it is a changeling.
