It really is a shame this ship never caught on.

Personally, I think Sapphire Shores might make a good mentor for Rara. She needs somepony to show her the ropes now that she’s parted ways with Svengalllop, and Sapphire not only has experience, but she’s a noted perfectionist who at the very least plays a very active role in choreography and wardrobe for her shows. There’s a lot Rara could learn from her.
 
(Of course, that wouldn’t prevent them from being shipped if you want; shipping a student and mentor is among the oldest ones in the book.)
