BOTH (MJ) of them made the deal but i think people would put the blame on peter more (surely he would’ve foreseen the consequences of unmasking and what he did wasn’t enough protection).
 
personally i think it wouldn’t sting as much if quesada didn’t let everyone know it was a personal preference to undo history.
 
the love interest based on his daughter also did not do wonders.

I’m well aware of those facts. But every time People complain about it it;s done over mostly one specific part that is never overlooked. He made a deal with the devil. No one ever lets that go. Shitty story but not the end of comics for me.

Doesn’t matter. By your logic he still made a deal with the devil. I’ve seen people hate on Peter even though he did it for the right reasons. He could have had power or money. Again I still hate the story. But I haven’t lost faith in the character.

I don’t think Peter is supposed to always be an everyman in certain way. He comes off as a smart powerful guy but with humble beginnings.

Don’t know. Never been recorded. But there have been a couple issues where Richards said Peter’s test scores matched his at that age and another instance where he thought Peter’s acheivements might someday outshine even his. From one fellow genius to another that is a BIG compliment.
