I think the way she was reformed was definitely forced, but the new, nice Sunset is actually pretty likable. I’m guessing Starlight Glimmer will be the same way.

You’re right when you say that Sunset wasn’t really all that evil, at least not her normal human self. However, I’d say you’re incorrect if you think she was one of the movie’s “weakest parts”. She is a big part of why the first movie garnered any fans at all.

As most of us already know from this thread everyone has their own opinion.

Before the events of the first EQG movie, she bullied an entire school into submission. During the events of said movie, all she did was have human Snips and Snails do most of the dirty work for her in order for Twilight to not get her crown back, and turned into a she-demon and had the whole school brainwashed in order to take over Equestria, which I bet would have seriously failed since Equestria has four princesses, some royal guards, and Discord to stop the invasion from happening. She wasn’t evil, she was just a big jerk. As much as I enjoy the first EQG movie, she was easily one of the weakest parts of it. I’m incredibly thankful that she had the progression towards the path of good. Now she’s a lot more enjoyable to watch.

I kind of was disappointed of her in rainbow rocks, because I felt like she was a bit of a stepping stool. Friendship games kind of made up for that but it just feels like a Twilight Sparkle 2.0 for me. And no I don’t think people are stupid for having an opinion. I don’t understand why Evil SS gets a lot of hate despite what people have said mainly because she was one of the few villains that was just fun(until the Dazzlings show up)but hey that’s just me.I dont care what people like or dislike, I just ask that you respect my opinion as I do the same to you.
