If we’re discussing Discord’s Ponymon, one of them has to be based on Screwball. Maybe for her evolved form, her hat turns into something along the lines of the Koopa Clown Car?
That’s actually not a bad idea. I had kind of considered it, but I dunno. It’s not like there was a Giovanni Pokemon. That being said, I would definitely like to try a Dragon/Fairy-type Ponymon (less so since I found out about Mega Altaria’s extra Fairy type.)
So? Couldn’t he simply be his team’s final Ponymon? :3c

I considered doing Discord and making him Dragon/Fairy-type, but I decided he’d be the leader of Team Chaos instead.
This would probably be cheating, but maybe you could use characters who aren’t ponies, like Tank or Discord.
Yeah it would take a lot digging to name every known pony to represent a pokemon, but you can also modify types and abilities so that it use different mechanics than the original games.
I know in Touhoumon, they took the basic characters gave them three or four different evolutions.
(Chibi Reimu -> Normal Reimu, Attack Reimu, or Defense Reimu)
Haha, I wish. No, I don’t have any ambition for that to happen. Anyway, there aren’t nearly as many ponies as there are Pokemon, even allowing for evolved forms. You’d really have to dig deep into the super obscure ones which only appeared for five seconds in one episode and don’t even have an accepted name.
And besides, one of the best things about Pokemon is how diverse the creatures are. You couldn’t really do that with the ponies either.
We’d need a few more evo lines for that.
