There’s a cute lesbian couple in one of the new quests in WoW, during the Alliance side of the War Campaign.
 
It’s done tastefully. You just see two goblins heading to a date, both happen to be female, and making lovey-dovey comments to each other. It doesn’t feel forced, or token, and it’s not the center of the quest. Makes it feel like just an everyday occurrence. Which is how you do that right.

I thought about it and I’m gonna wait til 9.0 to get back to WoW. If Ion really is adamant about reversing the class pruning than sweet. Also please get rid of world quests. They suck. In fact I’d rather be rid of the whole daily quest thing entirely.

Both zones have dailys now, Mechagon in particular has a bunch. That whole zone is a hoot, lots of stuff to do.

How the actual fucking fuck am I supposed to kill necrosprites? None of my spells are doing any real damage…
 
Fuck it, I’d rather fight Ornstein, Smough, the first Bishop Ladja, the first Gades in Lufia 1, the first Ash in Atelier Iris 3, the first Roger Bacon in Shadow Hearts, all 16 colossi, Whitney’s Miltank, and a Jyk, all at the same time, than fight another swarm of necrosprites.

And so patch 5.0 maintenance for FFXIV has begun. BRING ON THE BUNNIES.

Or like how the 2013 Tomb Raider did it. There’s a damsel in distress, so of course she’s the girlfriend cuz that’s how video games work- it just so happens Lara’s a girl too, so like whatever.
 
But of course the girlfriend never shows up again in the trilogy, and they spend the next two games pretending Lara Croft is not a canon lesbian without actually retconning that.
 

 
 
On a completely unrelated note, I finished Ace Combat 7 last night. A good 10 hour campaign that I highly recommend, with lots of replayability. I will say that the current Steam sale price might be a bit high for what you get, though.

Damnit I don’t remember that scene, and I don’t feel like playing that game right now. But that’s beside the point, it was clear that Lara had a girlfriend who then vanished without a trace because mainstream, yo. I’m salty about that, if you couldn’t tell.

It was when she and her colleague went to their boat to get some parts to fix…something. The same guy who was crushing on her the whole game. Well he was stuck and injured so he offered to sacrifice himself to save Lara by blowing up her pursuers alongside himself. She kissed him before she left.
 
Sure you could say it meant nothing to her and she was just giving a dying man some comfort, but she did initiate the kiss without suggestion.
