You know, i tend to think of game in monster hunter terms because i always think From is a subsidiary of Capcom.
 
True or not, I beat the cleric beast on a second go and managed to find the saw spear and several other stuff without dying.
 
Do i nom this knowledge now or later?
 
And should i worry about upgrading my starting weapons?

You know, I’m really glad that the whole dark energy plot in ME3 was scrapped early on - it makes even less sense than what we’ve got.

The Cleric Beast drops a badge, a key item that extends the stuff in the shops, including a new weapon and gun.
 
I say making your chosen weapon +1 isn’t a bad idea, and you can just farm shards from the bipedal werewolves, who drop them often enough. Also, did you find the Hunter set?

Depends on how that “Human Reaper will somehow help stave off an dark energy induced entropy” plot would develop.
 
Because the alternative we got was the Starchild using “Yo dawg” logic.

It’s hidden behind a bunch of breakable stuff. You remember where you found your first brick-troll, who was guarding the torch? Pass the patrol near him is the Werewolf bridge, and the opening across it looks like a dead end that leads back to the bonfire, but hides thing behind barrels and the like you can just break.
 
Also, don’t forget to repair your weapons at the workshop.
 
By the way, what build are you thinking of going with?

Quality (str and dex) would be a good idea, or just one or the other. I recommend saving bloodtinge and arcane for second playthroughs, once you have the hang of things.
