I still remember the PS1/PC Harry Potter game where Voldemort says “Damn you Potter!”
There’s also Sgt. Byrd in Spyro Year of the Dragon, who says “What the devil?”
Speaking of which:
I started playing Year of the Dragon: Reignited. So far, I’m really enjoying it. The level design feels like a hybrid of Spyro 1 and 2; there are hidden areas in each level. Some of them just have the egg, which is reminiscent of Spyro 1, and others have some kind of challenge, which is reminiscent of Spyro 2. Some of these areas might have additional eggs unrelated to the challenge.
What I remember the most fondly of Spyro 3 is the gameplay and story integration, especially after the weird story in Spyro 2. Dragons are a source of magic, so The Sorceress has dragon eggs kidnapped. The dragons leaving the forgotten realms caused all of its magic to disappear, which causes some of the portals to not work. Hatching eggs causes portals to re-activate. All of the problems of the realms are caused by The Sorceress’ minions: the rhynocs. Your goal is to retrieve the eggs, and they’re the reward for everything from beating levels, to completing challenges, to defeating bosses. Everything you do ties back to the eggs and/or The Sorceress, and there’s a story reason to complete every single challenge in the game.
Another thing I really like are the other playable characters. Whether or not they expand or dilute gameplay is a matter of preference, but I really like them. So far, Sheila and Sgt. Byrd are fun to use and feel really good to control.
