Does Fallout 4 like, have a fetish for throwing hordes of Feral Ghouls at you? Because I hate it and I get swarmed. It’s not fun.

You are aware of Blizzard’s all but confirmed alliance bias yeah?
 
Alliance stuff is usually done first before Horde stuff. Visible since Classic!
 
It also is a big thing in Epic Battlegrounds. Though less with Alterac Valley these days and mostly with Isle of Conquest
 
I think Horde has an advantage in Silvershard mines but haven’t confirmed. We just seem to win a lot even against alliance teams which seem better to me

Zincy, Whatevs, you’ve seen the not so subtle old god influence, yes? Blizzard is basically hitting us over the head with the N’zoth references. I predict he’ll appear in 8.2 or 8.3.

I think it’s mostly certain locations where they are set to attack in groups, though it’s not uncommon for enough of them to be close enough to each other to make it seem like they’re attacking in groups.

There are a couple of areas where Beth just said fuck it and tosses like 30+ ghouls at you. My problem was always that half-sunken town populated by all those raiders with sniper rifles. And then of course Quincy. Oh dear god, Quincy. What a shitshow.

Quake 3 is the only one of the games on that list I like.

Any day now I’ll replay DOOM like I said..

I like how FO 4 rebalanced ghouls. And deathclaws. And…well most melee enemies really. Before they just felt like bigger versions of the last, where molerats were bigger radroaches, dogs were bigger molerats, ghouls were bigger dogs, deathclaws were bigger ghouls, etc.
 
FO 4 gave them new abilities and weaknesses and AI to make them distinct in a way that wasn’t “This guy has more HP and attack power than the last.” In a ghoul’s case they were fragile and prone to losing limbs but swarmed you in large numbers to make up for it, with somewhat unpredictable spawn zones (they literally crawl out of the wall).
