I’m glad they fixed the animations (facial and otherwise) with a patch, but it shouldn’t have needed a patch in the first place.
 
And that doesn’t fix the terrible voice acting and dialogue.

It was pretty good so far (there are two versions, the original [which you can REALLY tell is a Half Life mod, since it features reskinned enemies from Half Life 1, but has its own charm] and the Director’s Cut, which is an improved version. I have yet to finish either version at the moment. It has a good atmosphere to me, and the occasional nightmare sequence. It also features Aphex Twin’s ambient music, which automatically make it good. The creator was supposedly only 14 when he made the mod, and it sometimes shows, particularly with its plot.
 
Have you heard of Cry of Fear? Afraid of Monsters was basically the predecessor to that game/mod. If you played that game, some of the ideas and jumpscares are reused and modified from Afraid of Monsters.

Is Kojima a good writer ?

The first one, the Dark Descent, is one of the only video games that actually made me scared, and is a really good game.  
The sequel, a Machine for Pigs, isn’t nearly as scary as the first one but has a much better story.

If he’s the writer of Metal Gear, than what I’ve heard is that his writing is both dumb and brilliant at the same time.

So far, the bosses in Bloodborne are easier than the ones in Dark Souls.

I know I haven’t played much of any of the Soulsbornes, but so far, I’d rank them in this order: DS1, Bloodborne, DS3, Demon’s, DS2.

People need to stop placating his ego so much. How long has it been and we (as well as probably Kojima himself) still have no idea was Death Stranded is.
 
He put his Logo and himself directly into his games all the time. MGSV is the worst with ever missions flashing “DIRECTED BY HIDEO KOJIMA” Yeah, I know. It’s like he couldn’t have waited until people finished the game, he had to make it like missions are episodes. People hated it when Alone in the Dark did it, and I honestly see no difference. It’s just annoying.

That would mean he waited until they were kicking him out when to announced before the game was down mind you to actually start working on it.
 
Because remember; Kojima was going to quit if they didn’t let him do another game, which they was going to be silent hill. (After he had down Lords of Shadow) Then he announces he’s quitting and left before it was finished. Just feels a little odd.

Sometimes his work can go beyond the realm of crazy and go straight into…well retarded, with MGS4 and 5 having some of the worst twists I can think of, like he was trying too hard to mindfuck you. That said the first 3 MGS games have really good stories, with MGS2 being the best within gaming imo(though I think MGS3 is the best game overall). Some of his work outside the MGS series are great if not really underrated, like Snatcher, Botkai and ZOE

Time and again we’ve seen highly acclaimed devs go indie and turn out to be pretty crap game makers when they ain’t got a corporation watching over their shoulder. I really hope Kojima doesn’t make me go “He was better when he had to answer to Konami.”
