I haven’t yet tried the Abyss Watchers, but I’m at the point where I could if I wanted. But I’m scared because it’s one of those two-on-one fights and I’m awful at those.

If you’re in Embered form you can summon an NPC to help, and also halfway through the first phase a rogue one comes in and attacks the boss….. and you, but he goes away when you go to the second phase.

I tried fighting the second boss (Gazer) in Bitterblack Isle.

It’s more fun to solo the boss, and use the third Watcher as your ally.

Well, I did use a +2 Black Knight Greatsword which made it easy as well.

Also, their soul will give you the only dex ultra-greatsword in the game, as well as Artorias’s greatsword.
