As much as I’d like a Thousand-Year Door remake to iron out the flaws (the game does have some serious backtracking issues, mainly in regards to Chapter 4 and most of the sidequest material), the original game is good enough that I’d also be fine with a simple HD remaster, warts and all.
Though, if they’re going to bother fully remaking it instead of just remastering it, I want to see some extra content as well and not just fixing flaws, enough to really justify its existence, such as more badges and items, an optional partner or two, sidequests that don’t require 7 hours of backtracking, and maybe putting back in stuff that was taken out before the game’s release like the cameos of the first Paper Mario game’s partners.
