No, the game is flawed, enemies randomly avoid parts of combos because the people making it didn’t make them center into the combos, descriptions are wrong on allot of moves, the combat has huge flaws like guardbreaks leading to long periods of ragdolling that can’t be escaped, many moves have inconsistent outcomes, like most ults and supers are as bad as Hellzone grenade was in Tenkaichi 3, it has many bad features like cutscenes forcing you out of transformations, blatent lazyness abounds in things like the awoken skills, the roster is lack luster leaving out many alternate forms, i am not joking when i say that combat is only a marginal improvement over Ultimate Tenkaichi, a famously bad game,

At least they made it so Saiyan custom characters aren’t quite as overpowered as they were in the first Xenoverse…

TBH i don’t care because i honestly think they should have just made PVP only use canon characters or not exist or not considered it, it’s why the great namek form is lame, PVP is the bane of all single player experiences and should be attacked with the same vigor as micro transactions and the like,

Reminds me of my father, when he played War Wind 2. It felt like every 10 minutes he was swearing about something. He even wrote a guide for it, where in the entire introduction he complained about the game and listed what’s wrong with it, which seemed to be nearly everything.
 
To this day, I don’t get why he even bothered with it.

If video games have taught me anything, is that there’s no such thing as bad combat/controls, just bad players.
 
You’ll get the hang of it. I mean, the game style that I suck the most is FPS, and I still do suck at it. Doesn’t stop me from liking it.
 
I understand the inescapable ragdoll though. Played Budokai Tenkachi 2, got stomped by Broly. Like, literally no way out.

Already spent the money and it’s to late to get it back, besides it’s the closest to a good Dragon Ball RPG as there is, since they finally realized making games where you play as the canon characters sucks since you either get worfed non stop or are stuck playing Goku, which isn’t very pleasant what with his shitty japanese version being so prevalent right now, i just wish the combat wasn’t so wonky and the quests weren’t so badly designed,

I’ve already beaten like 70% of the game, it’s just annoying when they randomly give 3 jackasses hyper agressive AI and don’t give you any backup, Yeah they need to drop the whole vanish/chase dynamic as the center of the combat, T3 was great because you could win using well thought out and timed uses of supers/ults.

I was actually gonna say that’s not right but Dark Souls is specifically an example where the game overs are often do to cheap BS and the devs/fans try to shift it around onto the players, “It’s your fault you fell not our terrible jumping mechanics!” “It’s on you to anticipate enemy attacks so what if they use a mechanic that has never shown up before?” “Why should we make enemy design reflect enemy power? that would give you some appreciative info to base your actions on,”

Dark Souls is about overcoming death and eventually achieving victory against a tough boss.  
Death is usually the result of getting cocky and overestimating your skill, not because of cheap level design.  
Unless it’s Blighttown. Fuck that level.
