The space it takes up would of been empty otherwise, it goes under the key items and you have just as many spots for key items as there are key items.

More ad-hoc justification in my experience. The worst is from those who have seemingly forgotten that 2012 never happened, and believe that people are just hating on MEA to be contrarian.
 
I honestly don’t know which is worse: the “you just hated it because you didn’t get your rainbows-and-unicorns happy ending!” people, or the “you just hate it because of the bugged animations!” people.

Option 3:the people who won’t shut up about it one way or the other.

At this point it feels like the only defense for it is that it’s so bad that it’s fun to play it just to mock how bad it is.
 
Though from what I can tell the gameplay is decent enough, and someone already mentioned that the animation is perfectly fine during huge firefights.

I watched someone play it and he went on about how stiff the game felt.
 
So it’s not even fun to play.

Though something interesting I’ve noticed is that, when talking about the bad animations, only the female Ryder is used as an example. I’ve yet to see anyone showcase if the male Ryder suffers a similar issue.

Did something happen with the “Two Best Friends Play” guys (I forgot their names)? I’ve been hearing rumors that they had some kind of very public falling out on Twitter or something, but I wasn’t sure if the tweet I saw mentioning it was actually referring to them specifically or not.

Man Ryder’s are significantly less cringeworthy, yes. He’s not without his moments here and there, but most of the time it’s rather passable.
 
Mostly due to his default expression being a more neutral stare. Much more fitting during moments like hearing his father died compared to Fem Ryder’s perpetual shit eating grin.
 
Now that I think of it I’m pretty sure most of the female characters suffer more from fish lip animations compared to male. Hmm. I’ll try paying attention to that.
