First off,
From what I’ve heard from Liam Robertson (the unseen 64 guy) the biggest factor to Scalebound being shitcanned was because of Microsoft forcing western design philosophies on Platinum, they did this so often that it heavily impacted morale of the team working on the game, and the game was having issues running on the Xbone (because of course that would happen if you have 4 players and 4 basicly Trico’s (in that its an ai controled beast you have to issue commands to) all together at once) and Microsoft were unwilling for game features to be cut back so they could run better.
Now heres the gigantic leap of logic Microsoft made.

“Isn’t that the game that Capcom’s remaking by fan demand?”
“Oh they must be re-making it because it wasn’t very good, we clearly must guide this project in the right direction!”
