Speaking of Smash, a lot of people are disappointed that there wasn’t any news for the next fighter. Personally, I don’t think Nintendo had any plans to make an announcement, but people just assume that there would be one because it was the VGAs.

In terms of actual announcements though, there really wasn’t anything from nintendo except for the bravely default 2 game. Not even an announcement for the 5th and final DLC fighter for the first group of fighters for Smash.

I thought there was already a second bravely default game. Called, fittingly, bravely second.

Probably due to last year’s VGA announcement for Joker.

I’m still pissed Luigi’s Mansion 3 wasn’t nominated for GOTY.

they are probably going the fiunal fantasy route of sequels, i.e. have the actual sequals be named something (x-2 and bravely second) then have the actual numbered entries be something mostly unreleated (like ff7 to ff8). Either that or the xenoblade chronicles route of 1, x, and 2.

Update on Silksong development, nothing major but it looks like we won’t be seeing the game for a while still. Some music samples though.

Anyone else think that some of the Bravely Default 2 characters look like the potential kids of the Default/Second ones?
 
That doesn’t seem likely considering it’s said to take place on a whole different world, but 3/4 of them look a lot like Tiz, Agnès and Magnolia.

Geoff Keighley also said there was supposed to be some kind of Sonic thing at the awards, but apart from Green Hill Zone being seen during Green Day’s concert, there was nothing.

According to the Youtube upload of the trailer, Bravely Default and Bravely Second tell one complete story, while Bravely Default 2 is an entirely new adventure.

I went to bed after 10pm. What’d I miss?

The end of Bravely Second had sequel ties though, like Ringabel working for a secret employer, and Denys being trapped in the far-future. Maybe the “new world” is the same one but thousands of years or more later and the characters we’re seeing are the first two game’s descendants.
