Btw, I’ve been catching up on Ex-Aid the past couple days. Just got through episode 10 earlier. Pretty good stuff so far, and there’s a real sense of mystery going on.

I’m more wondering what the hell Taiga’s deal is. He seems to be hiding something (note that he doesn’t have the “skunk stripes” in his hair in the flashbacks with him).

But it ends up making the White Ranger parts of the design not make sense as it removed the event that lead to them being made.  
So actully it is more WTF this way.

maybe “light is not good” is in play (at least in the costume department)?

You know, looking over the Kyurangers henshin device again and.. why does it look like a gun strapped to their wrist?  
It’s a gauntlet type of thing and it doesn’t look like it detaches, but it has a spot that looks like it’s where the trigger would be(by a grip that folds up, and in some images it is) but it’s filled in.  
Am I missing somthing or they just going for the look?

At lest his Gashat won’t just be unused. Emu will later use it to summon level 2 form(without the eyes on it) to ride.

I wonder what the big secret about Emu is… Of course, knowing this franchise, they’ll completely forget about it for 20-30 episodes only to bring it back up near the end.

They seem to be making it an important part of the story right now, it’s tied to the Double Action Gamer power up and even the “M” name he uses.

Yeah, just finished episode 14. Quite the Wham line at the end of the episode.

Gonna be watching Maskman soon. I already saw the first 3 episodes a while back, but I’m gonna get back into it soon. It’s often considered one of the best of the 80’s Sentai, right up there with Changeman and Liveman.

does anyone know how much of the original Gavan is filler?

I had a discussion about filler in the Dragon Ball thread about how it’s hard to tell filler with somthing that isn’t an adaptation.  
But I don’t think any of Gavan actully is filler as it’s the original source, just might be there are some episodes that are not important in the long run.

Okay, Ninja Steel premiere is at noon, right? Don’t wanna miss it.

I’m gonna bet that, given the summaries and clips we’ve seen so far, Ninja Steel will have a similar set up to Dino Charge’s first couple episodes (first episode is entirely original footage, then episode 2 uses footage from Ninninger’s first episode).
 
Plus, say what you will about Ninninger, but it had some pretty decent suit action.
 
Speaking of which, have you seen some of the clips? They’ve already got explanations for the Zords seemingly being random (yeah, the Ninninger mecha not having a unifying theme was because of them being nods to different past Sentai themes, but without that they felt random).

Only clip I have seen is the first episode one that was linked to on JEFusion.
 
And it was the characterize of the team that made me hate Ninninger, mostly the red…

I hope Ninja Steel doesn’t turn out like Dino Super Charge apparently did… Never saw any of that part, but apparently it took a HUGE dive in quality from the strong Dino Charge half and there seems to be a lot of evidence that there were some serious behind-the-scenes issues which among other things forced more filler and prevented that “Talon Ranger” thing from being a thing despite numerous hints throughout the show that it was going to be a thing. Also a really dumb-as-hell-even-by-this-franchise’s-standards ending.
 
I’m still going to watch it once the rest of it is on Netflix, but… I’m a tad worried.
