I just read through it, it’s not really any sort of praise or lauding.
Yes, it doesn’t go out of it’s way to paint her as a monster, but nor does it really praise or glorify her.
Just sort of states who she is, what she does, and why her being in SK is a historic event.

She was literally sent there as a calculated attempt to charm audiences, and she eclipsed Pence’s stone faced grimace with a simple smile and nod.
Not the actions of a mad regime built on madness, but the actions of a skillful opponent more adept at the world stage than anyone wants to admit. Their ability to navigate such political nuance should be news worthy, because it ups their threat level to us.
A lunatic can be destroyed by their own insanity. Someone with intelligence and tact, that becomes a real threat.
