It may be a fact of the character, but the fact that she declares him gay around the time the political climate started shifting more toward tolerance felt pretty forced and disingenuous to me, as if she just made it up on the spot and didn’t begin writing him that way. Maybe she started writing with him being gay in mind, but to me, at the time, it just felt like she was retconning it in there just because the gay rights movement was picking up momentum.
So this could be just a difference of opinion but, to me, making a character gay and not having the guts to depict them as such is like trying to have your cake and eat it too. “Don’t worry, parents, there’s no gay stuff in this book… but, hey, LGBT people, don’t worry, one of you is in here!”
I’m not against depictions of LGBT people in fiction in general, this was just a case I found strange. Of course, all this could easily just my dislike for Harry Potter in general speaking.
Alright then: the hero is Christianity’s biblical Lucifer after being cast down to hell. Also it’s by the people that made Highschool DxD
…I think I may be selling this wrong… No cgi in it. Several of the voice actors have worked on anime such as One Piece, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Terra Formers, Zoids, Konosuba, Utawarerumono, Highschool Fleet, Ao Oni, Fairy Tail, Madoka, Precure, Code Geass, Macross.
