Random shit:
You know what is the flaw of how people think that automation is going to replace 100% of all jobs in the future?
If you created a machine that can program any sort of program then it’d be technically self aware. Also certain tasks it would be indistinguishable between sapience.
What I mean by this is that if you made a machine that can reprogram itself entirely, has the capability to talk, communicate, can draw, hold conversations, perform medical operations, etc and so forth it’d be indistinguishable from intelligence.
“That doesn’t mean it’s sapient”
Of course not; what I’m getting at is about late 2020’s we’ll have computers so indistinguishable from intelligence that chances are people are going to start pushing for equal rights to them. True sapient computers probably won’t come about until late 2030’s/early 2040’s though.
By the time we have truly sapient ai we probably wouldn’t notice… Well we probably would eventually notice if they started crying about whether or not the sensations from their sensory equipment was real or if it was a simulation; at that point it’d be confirmed that they were sapient.
