anonymous asked:
I don’t get how people can be so bent out of shape over Wolfenstein, a game that was always about killing Nazis, being about killing Nazis. The game has always been very explicitly anti-Nazi, and I simply can’t comprehend the outcry. Am I missing something?
The outcry is coming FROM Nazis.
In 2017, the Nazis favorite tactic is gaslighting the public by painting the condemnation of their white supremacist and genocidal policies as “Being close minded to different opinions” and “Hating everything you don’t understand.”
I am also sure the biggest people whining about this game are also soccer parents who have it in their heads that
video games should never be M rated? But I guess she didn’t want to bring up that point for some reason.

“This is what our game is about. It’s what this franchise has always been about. We aren’t afraid to embrace what BJ stands for and what Wolfenstein represents,” Hines said. “When it comes to Nazis, you can put us down in the ‘against’ column.”

“For this game our idea was catharsis”
“So we think at the end of this game, you’ll be ready to go out and start a revolution”
