You know, Patachu, you were this close to finding out who the real culprits were behind the current state of the world, but then you decided to do a one eighty and blame those trying to raise awareness of and fix the problem.
It’s so sad it’s not even funny.

I don’t think it’s fair to say globalism is a dogwhistle for Jews. I myself am opposed to globalism; that is, I don’t like international corporations using laws that allow them to spread practically unhindered to undermine workers rights and pay by simply moving manufacturing and other things to other countries, and moving assets to tax havens and the like, and none of this has anything to do with Judaism and I don’t see how it could be construed to have anything to do with it.

When (most/all of) the CEOs of such international corporations are Jews, at least in the truth of people who do use globalism as a dogwhistle. But it’s only anti-Semitic if your tolerance/condoning of such hinges on them being Jews.

Before someone goes and “corrects” me, I will acknowledge that the final text clearly lists provisions that have exemption from these rules:
Quotation
Criticism
Review
Caricature
Parody (Including Memes and GIF’s)
Pastiche
Additionally all these things were only optional for member states to allow in the past but the Directive will make it outright MANDATORY for members to include them according to the FAQ page on the Commission website.
Sounds rather generous and fair right?
In theory this should work out just fine but the upload filters probably won’t be very good at identifying the context, causing videos that would be fair use to be wrongfully blocked, although it’s possible that those filters will gradually improve to where they’ll be able to concretely distinguish fair use from actual piracy with ease however this will take some time.
In retrospect the people who say that this will ”KILL THE INTERNET” as a whole are likely overreacting to some degree but I’d say they’re pretty much correct on Smaller Platforms being handicapped with fees related to filters and link tax’s.
So in all, I still don’t like it but it seems to be in a state which I acknowledge could’ve been much worse.
Doesn’t change the fact that a good deal of EU Officials still called anyone who protested this a Russian Bot, a Google Shill, or a misinformed fool.
They still deserve major criticism for outright insulting their own citizens.
Also the CASE ACT passed through the house today and will possibly also pass the senate to be approved by Trump himself but it’s not as dangerous as I previously thought it to be.
Apparently any use it has for Copyright Trolls is rather limited:
https://www.quora.com/q/duzzmyeobxjljrpq/Nothing-to-worry-about-New-CASE-law-before-Congress-could-simplify-small-copyright-claims-is-opt-out
There, I took a fair and balanced take on issues I’ve been paranoid about in the past.
I’m capable of being rational with things.

This is known as gaslighting. I’m not referring to anyone here, but I’ve seen that kind of argumentation elsewhere, & it took me a some time reflecting on it to come to the conclusion.

You do know it’s very convenient for the Right to blame it on the Jews, who also happen to be the target of Right-wing paranoia about how they supposedly secretly try to overthrow “Western Civilisation”, right?

The Parliament approved it in March and nothing seems to have changed in the time up to when The Council approved the final text on April 15th, the FAQ with that exemption info was last updated on April 29th.
I think it’s safe to say that those exemptions are still there.

Blaming it on the Jews is different than thinking it is Jews as far as I see it. So, maybe some people will blame it on the Jews, but I see it as a set of actions being taken, not a group, and not necessarily a deliberate or organized thing. Often I think it is more correct to attribute actions taken at a smaller scale for individual benefit over some idea of a cabal controlling things from the shadows (with some exceptions, such as when there is not an apparent benefit without some sort of cabal, but in this case there is very obvious benefit to a number of individuals that does not require conspiracy, namely costing less money)

I disagree, I’m jewish and far from being a globalist ; your shortcut is idiotic, and yes, the neonazis are like antifas, they don’t want to search a solution. “It’s the jews” “No it’s the white people!”
it’s like a Looney Tunes show.
@Background Pony #B5F4
People have all the rights to think what they want to think, but there is a methodology to have.
we first have a theory, then we try to see what could disprove our theory by repeating a process. we share that with many others who will repeat different research, and find facts.
Many wil be tempted to point at the jews who owns the media and banks. Soros, the Rothschilds bank, but beyond that is that a correct analysis for a conclusion when checking who really is in control, and who brings the solutions?
I’m not defending anyone, but Israel became both the scapegoat for neonazis and antifas now, because >borders! how DARE they defend their country and people!
it’s easy, a crime happens. You send an innocent behind the bars claiming he’s the serial killer. everybody applauses, thanks the police for their hard work of investigation, intelligence, and all. eventually the guy is shot for his horrible crimes.
two days after, crimes continues, same technique, in another state.
“well shit, it must be a copycat”
no, you just locked the wrong guy while the real problem still exists.
You gotta think a bit, sometimes. It’s never about being right, and ensuring you’re right but finding facts and confronting with the reality.
It’s the west’s lifestyle, lack of envy to do manual work, the cultural change and really liberalism that caused that.
How to fix it? Let it collapse, simply. And start a small business, encourage people to repair, to create, to draw, to play an instrument. selling 33” records, or CDs of things you don’t hear on radio or iTunes. Find your own culture again. Study your past.. It’s mostly us who have to change our lifestyle. The solution to all of this abomination of a clown world lies in all of us.

and you’re perfectly right to be worried, but not overreacting or going like «the end of the internet is neiigh» like it was the case with DMCA/PIPA/SOPA/net neutrality.
Thing is, today lawmakers love to give laws and directives as TOOLS for media corporations and internet services. IT’s a cycle of «We took down your content, see this [bureaucratic thing] we just apply the law» and «we made this law to defend your rights» kind of authoritarianism. Sites won’t even check, if something is reported they execute and move on. At some point it’s even scripted and automated. You can take down a Twitter with a botnet of a hundred accounts. Report one, and if you are the victim good luck with the appeal.

Yeah, pretty gross to know as soon there is something to monopolize the media, they see this as an opportunity to pass a law or do anything, and know no one will cover this.
