I quoted it verbatim from the Newsweek article I linked.  
When the first of those children died on Christmas Eve 2018, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen stated that it hadn’t happened in more than a decade. Maybe Newsweek fact-checked that claim and found out that it wasn’t quite accurate (meaning some child might’ve died around 2010 after all).  
Still, four others died in less than a year since then, so there obviously was a problem…

apparently there were two previous attempts at office removal, so this is indeed the charm. Even then with the upcoming election and trump basically pissing away the supporters that got him into office, the chances of him having a second term is low, especially if things keep on going with how it is.

Yeah - about the only thing that might hold this back is that he’s entering his last year. But that might actually work against him, as the Republicans will want as long as they can to try and promote an untainted candidate (if they can find one)…

Retired Adm. William McRaven called Trump a threat to the nation.
 
This is the guy that organized and oversaw the mission that killed Bin Laden. He is the pinnacle of the American war hero commander. He joins a chorus of active and retired military brass coming out against Trump.
 
So, Trump supporters, how does it feel to support a man that countless of our true heroes see as a threat and a traitor? You’re not a patriot, you’re a traitor to the union.
 
You support a man who abandons our allies, placates dictators, insults generals, threatens heads of state while leveraging military aid for personal gain, disrupts global trade, weakens our standing, and tarnishes the office.

Technically, despite overall support by the military going down, a majority of military service members still approve of Trump vs those that disapprove. With people like McRaven representing the minority. I’m curious to see the response from the latest events, however.

Tbf most politicians are “traitors to the union” due to them not upholding and defending a certain piece of paper. I thoroughly recommend chapter one of Alphonse von Kattle’s Paper PT (page 73) for an analysis of how American politicians don’t exactly live up to the ideals of the nation they supposedly love or the constitution they pretend to defend. Trump’s bad, but he’s hardly any worse than a lot of other politicians in Washington. I’m personally of the opinion that he’s ‘good’ in the Frank Herbert sense of ‘good’ politicians…

Most of my future career options revolve around firearms, mate. My mother’s life was saved because she had a gun, and they’ve been a part of my life since I was young (responsibly of course) and having lived most of my life in a very heavily restrictive state, it has made me value and appreciate the right more than those in less restrictive spots.

Uh, isn’t that kind of paradoxical for you though? I can understand libertarians, Marxists, anarchists, and other anti-government revolutionary types expressing the whole “molon labe motherfucker!” thing, but your opinion is one in support of an extremely powerful government.
 
If all politicians running for president in 2020, including Trump, proposed stronger gun restrictions, would you then vote for the candidate that offered the greatest increase in defense spending, even at the expense of your gun rights?

Like I said, you’d support a monster just because he gave you a gun. I pray to the gods no worse a man than Trump ever strikes your fancy, or you’d likely march lockstep with terror. I’m not convinced you’d be able to say no.
 
Is there no line in the sand, no level of human suffering? No amount of horrible behaviors that would make you turn away?

I only believe in one God. And no, I don’t agree with Trump on everything, but I also don’t see him as the monster or “literally Hitler” that many on the left see him as. I’m not an “alt right” white supremacist or neo nazi. I’m just a regular Trump supporter like the millions of other Trump supporters that don’t see him like you do.
