He was astutely pointing out how the promising socialist system in Burkina Faso got nipped in the bud in 1987 when Thomas Sankara got assassinated by Blaise Compaoré (who was actually backed by François Mitterrand, not Ronald Reagan), who then proceeded to throw Sankara’s legacy right down the shitter and leave the country’s economy ripe for the pillage by foreign interests.As well as how unbridled economic deregulation and mafia capitalism screwed post-Soviet Russia over way harder than communism ever did (going so far as causing the first actual famine since the stalinian era).But of course, since you’re so willfully ignorant, those counter-examples clearly mean nothing to you, so why bother?

That’s what insurance is for. Work for an employer that provides health benefits. Problem solved. And if that’s too much for you there’s always our own shitty socialized healthcare programs called medicare and medicaid. Nobody gets bankrupt from a broken leg, that’s an outright lie.
