You shouldn’t fall into the abyss. It’s so cold there. And lonely too. I should know because I’ve been there before.

But when you voluntarily label yourself as something like alt-right, that’s another story. At the very least, I say if you’re going to identify with an ideology that promotes hate, you should at least not act like a victim when people throw hate back at you.

Moving to another state, let alone another country, takes time and resources many people just don’t have. About half of Americans make $30,000 a year or less. Even if you do have a job that has a larger salary, you might not want to leave if you get good health insurance through your employer or you’ve alread bought a house. Telling conservatives to move to Somalia because America is “the most taxed nation in the world” (it absolutely isn’t) would be just as absurd.

You’ve already voted with your feet every second you’re in one, regardless of anything you say. But don’t mind me, continue whining about how lousy capitalism is on your iphone/computer.

I would say I’m more making the point that some of the arguments progressives use aren’t the “gotchas” they think they are. You can criticize a system even if you benefit from some part of it.
