When I used to live in South Carolina, the office of the dentist I used to go to had a painting very similar to that, but with less people.

Also, if you look real closely in the background, you’ll notice there’s a woman in both of the Democratic Club and the recent Republican Club (the one with 45 in it). The artist, Andy Thomas, basically added her in to sort of give a glimpse into a future female president

Sane and rational people buy guns for personal protection. They don’t have delusions of grandeur about how they’re going to beat the government. It’s about as likely as the day Trump tells the truth. It’s kinda idiotic as well to assume that a bunch of undisciplined, overweight, and untrained civilians who are used to sitting on their asses all day watching football can defeat a well trained and well equipped army.
A lot of people like to point to Vietnam but they’re leaving out A LOT of details. The Vietnamese people were used to guerrilla warfare, before they fought the Americans, they fought the French and the Japanese. They were also organized, and their leaders had experience from their previous wars. So in addition to experience, they also were supplied by the Soviet Union who gave them all that they needed.
The Redneck fantasy of fighting the big bad government is just that, a fantasy. If a rebellion is to be successful it’d Need outside support, and even then it’s not likely since you’d be used as pawns. And if you had no support then the most you can hope to be are the typical communist guerrillas you’d find in South America. Basically a bunch of bandits

I sincerely doubt Theodore Roosevelt would be a fan of Trump. I mean, he was a committed conservationist, pushed for government regulation, and even fought against the unfair practices of big business. You really think he’d give a pat on the back to the guy doing his best to deregulate every environmental and consumer protection he can get his tiny orange hands on? And the idea that he’d have had anything in common with Lincoln is almost laughable.
