You don’t know that. Nor does it matter.
Your understanding of the world is woefully lacking.
I’m not saying that they cannot help themselves, nor that they should not.
But you seem to deny that the situation has any power at all.
I hate to tell you, but you cannot will everything into focus. Reality does not bend to your willpower.
I’ve seen people do everything in their power to get out of poverty only to be beaten down each time. Sometimes, the power of the situation trumps the power of the self, and then they require outside assistance. Flaws in the system sometime get in the way of that assistance.We’ve got a saying in the south. Don’t spin your tires in the mud.
Yeah? We got a saying up North. Losers make excuses. Winners make it happen. No guts, no glory. No-one is a failure who keeps trying.
@AaronMk
That’s because all work is not created equal. I choose finacial security over risk and investment which is why I don’t make that much money.

What I am saying is that all work someone does is alienated from the work by the boss taking the excess value of the worker’s value and replacing it with an hourly wage that’s fundamentally indifferent of whether or not the laborer creates more or less value than supposed in the hourly wage. What use is working hard if you’re not receiving the share of the value in proportion to it?

You are not entitled to shit.If you want to be as big as they are, you have to be willing to RISK. You CHOSE financial security (an hour wage) over RISK. You think you can do better? Start your own business, then, and take the chance like they did.
@Zincy
Mmm no. I don’t think so. You’re forgetting that my worldview takes into account the help of others as a resource, not just do everything yourself; nor should you go in the opposite direction and rely on everyone else for everything.
@AaronMk
Fuck investors? They’re INVESTING their money in the business. They are taking A RISK. They’re not leeching off of anyone, it’s in their OWN best interest that the business succeeds. If the business fails, who do you think loses? EVERYONE. That includes the investors.
My issue with your worldview is that you seem to believe that the only path to deep poverty is paved with laziness, which is objectively untrue.
I know people that have never once stopped trying and are still stuck at the bottom. Some folks working 3 jobs, cutting meals, shouldering students loans, selling assets, the works. Yet, despite it all, they are still stuck.So, no, continued poverty is not solely caused by being lazy. Sometimes you’re stuck in a hole.
I don’t know what the answer to this vexing question is, I’m no economist. I just know it’s a problem.

but zincy they dont have investors no wonder they won’t succede because they dont take security
I’ve made money from a failing business.A savvy investor can profit from killing a company.
I always find it funny when people act like that.Inevitably it comes down to me being accused of being a leech, as they instantly assume my advocacy must be born from being myself impoverished because no way a well off person would endorse “laziness”.I am, thankfully, far from impoverished.
