Our men have marched in hostile lands
And sang a Devil’s song
A steady guard, on Volga Mexican border stands
And hums this tune along
We lift up our song ever skyward
So all of the world may hear
That brave men will fight for their homeland
Whether they curse us or cheer
For we are the ones who go forward
And the Devil may laugh just like this:
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
We’re fighting for Deutschland ’MERICA!
We’re fighting for Hitler Trump
While we march the reds others
know no peace
While we march the reds others
know no peace
We fight with pride, where e’er we go
In North, South, East, and West
And now we stand prepared in heart
To face the Russian Mexican pests (No offense, dear Mexicans! That’s just to clarify the point.)
Our soldiers know nothing of anguish
For our homeland we stand on our feet
No matter how often we languish
The SS [Insert authority here]
will never retreat
For we are the ones who go forward
And the Devil may laugh just like this:
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!
We’re fighting for Deutschland ’MERICA!
We’re fighting for Hitler Trump
While we march the reds others
know no peace
While we march the reds others
know no peace
Dear moderators,
this post contains neither hate nor hostility, nor anything else. It is the cynical answer of a descendant of the Wehrmacht, a proud European, born in Germany, who simply looks at this world and constantly asks himself: WTF!
Historical context:
The song “SS marschiert in Feindesland” (SS march in enemy territory) also known as “Teufelslied” (The Devil’s song) was a marching song of the Waffen-SS during World War II.
In 2013, Stefan Gotschacher, press secretary of the right-wing populist and national-conservative FPÖ political party in Austria, was fired after posting on his Facebook page lyrics from the song.
