Personally, I’m not completely sure. Policy is no substitute for cultural attitudes. At most, I would ignore the calls to legalize drugs and prostitution until more studies can be done on the former and until autonimous androids can be developed for the latter. Culturally, sex has to go back in pandora’s box. This doesn’t mean people should feel ashamed of sex or their own preferences. I simply mean that sex, and pleasure as a whole need to take up less of a seat of prominence within our socitey at large.

Okay, that makes a little more sense. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of sex being seen as a matter of commerce rather than intimacy either, but I wouldn’t necessarily be against legalizing prostitution, and I despise the “punish the buyer but not the seller” feminist approach. Same thing with drugs. I can’t say I like them, but I can’t say I support the war on them either.

The problem with Human Rights is that it assumes that humans need to protect themselves from each other forever
It dehumanizes people

You do realise that human rights have been ruthlessly critiqued by Nietzsche himself, Jordan Peterson’s husbando ?

A human right is protected by ensuring there is a punishment for those who violate it, the offenders, for which there is a punisher, so it assumes there will always be people who play the role of the punisher, but this is fallacious because, while a human right is asserted to be an innate ability and the punishment is asserted to be guaranteed for all offenses, the punisher is a role that can be filled or not, negating the assumption the punishment is guaranteed for all offenses, because the role depends upon a finite number of people rather than all people due to the role of the offender whose existence ensures not all people can be the punisher, so human rights falsely assert humans are to protect each other indefinitely.

The mindset that western civilization is the ultimate evil in the world and yet this SHIT is still tolerated in other parts of the planet….Why. Why the FUCK if they are “peaceful” haven’t they had a reformation yet? Why the fuck is there still crimes against humanity that are not called out but the west blasted on loudspeakers as vile, evil, and racist?

>acksutally its social issues that causing the downfall of the west
No

It’s economics, pure and simple
The rate of Surplus Value has been the highest in post WWII history, the debt is rising and rising in the US as it became a consumer economy, all of which led to the 2008 recession
The West isn’t falling due to cultural decay or whatever bullshit that racist pigeon is talking about but rather the western hegemony over the world and their reliance on Neoliberal policies of fiancialisation

The reason why immigrants are taking all those jobs ? Because they are cheap. Their Labour power costs less than others and so they bring down wages and increase the demand for migrant workers

Because resources that’s why. Why else would we be buddy buddy with a brutal theocracy like Saudi Arabia and look the other way when they commit crimes against humanity. Afghanistan is pretty fucked up to apparently. Yet what do these two countries have in common? They have resources our country wants. The Saudis got oil and Afghanistan has got mineral wealth, we rub shoulders with vile people for business reasons. It’s always been like that, like how the west allied itself with the Soviet Union during WW2.

Also, Commune is somewhat right about the decay of the West. I can’t speak for all of the west but I’m confident enough to speak out the US. Our country isn’t falling apart because of social issues, if anything these social issues are merely the result of a bigger problem our country faces, which are our economic problems.

I am referring to human rights and the system of sustaining those rights, not human rights laws, which describe specific rights and punishments; I am referring to all human rights and all their enforcement systems as their simple structures, as their template used throughout time.

To restart:

A human right is an ability that is believed to be possessed by all. The right to eat, the right to sleep, etc. The concept by itself does not assume humans are to protect each other indefinitely, but once one starts to defend those rights for all, in comes the system of punishers punishing offenders, from which there is a dichotomy that has a finite number of punishers and a finite number of offenders, but all have a human right, so a finite number of humans protect a human right possessed by all humans from another finite number of humans. Thus, the concepts of a human right and its enforcement system protect indefinitely–the template, through its forms as human rights laws, protects indefinitely.

Freedom of movement isn’t necessarily an universally recognized right, but it sure is gaining ground nowadays. The UN already has offices dealing with the issue.
Sure, they’re not refugees. However, one could interpret, in a sense, that they’re “economic refugees”. Adds a new twist to the debate, IMO.

I really, really don’t feel like society’s just like how you described.
There are, after all, sound justifications for legalizing drugs and taking immigrants in. And i’m afraid the “gratuitous sex culture” you describe is just a development of democracy; its pinnacle, if anything. We’ve already been sufficiently constrained from discussing such issues within society before. Heck, it was all the people who were barred and shamed by such laws before that led the drive for such issues on gratuitous sex to be normalized.
It isn’t hedonism, it’s materialism. “Productivity” is useless if you don’t have free time to rest and vent your frustrations.
The USA always talked about being the “land of the free”, and now they’re actually living up to their name.
I’m afraid such “laws to reduce pleasure and increase productivity” have some sort of example: sharia law within muslim countries. And we already know that they are mostly uncapable of forbidding pleasure on the secretive level.
I’m afraid what we’re seeing now is an inevitable part of the progress of society. Concealing sex from people gets substantially harder with the progress of technology, and not to mention that people’s perception of democracy also changes.
This doesn’t mean people should feel ashamed of sex or their own preferences.

This goes straight against what you just said about “sex culture”.

So, I come across the article about a three-alarm fire that happened at the Robert E Lee Elementary School in Tampa Florida.

Crew responded to this fire on school grounds on East Columbus Drive just east of North Florida Avenue just before 7PM, luckily no injuries were reported.

The fire in question is under investigation.

Shit like this happens in the aftermath of a hurricane. Remember that big-ass chemical plant fire from Harvey?
