If that is used to leverage lower prices, greater efficiencies, a stronger company, and higher quality of life for employees and the community, that’s usually good. But too often it is instead used to leverage profit and to prevent competition. The difference seems to be between companies with shareholders - especially where those shareholders consider themselves the primary beneficiaries of the company, and those without.
