It won’t, but with Trump in charge, Mexicans are indignant and will likely oppose any future cooperation with the US. This, of course, underscores just how the cartels have managed to lay down such strong roots to begin with. They establish themselves as robin hoods to their impoverished villages and towns all accross the nation that have been seemingly forgotten by the government. And now with ‘mean old Trump’ in office, the cartels will protect the people from the government, be it Mexico’s or the US just as they always have. All the people have to do is put up witb the cartel’s heinous actions and ignore the fact that the cartels control a good portion of the government itself and everyone is ‘happy’.

That’s true, to be honest. But how exactly that problem will be solved is a can of worms. Legalization of drugs could theoretically ease up the problem, but the mexican government should supplant that anti-cartel process through spreading education and welfare, and that is not something it can do so easily.
Perhaps a more centrist, cooperative US president could help with such measures, by taking advantage of a better image among the mexicans than Trump.
But again, it’s not gonna happen with the “republicrat” estabilishment in charge.

How so?
The moral imperative of the judicial branch is to be stoic and ideologically detached from partisan struggles, following only the law as is written. There’s a reason as to why supreme court judges serve for life.
They didn’t do it “out of spite”. People requested that they check the constitutionality of such measures, and they did so.

@BadgingBadger
At one point, I could agree with that. Now, however, I only see a military led purge of the Mexican government and a nationwide sweep to root out any and all cartel operations. This would of course have to come from an outside power like the US as the cartels have too many connections inside the Mexican government to prevent the purge from becoming the cartels using the Mexican politicians and military to fight their turf war. The last time Mexico tried to in-house an operation like that, the government did succeed in rooting out most of the cartels except for one. That one, naturally, had the backing of high ranking government officials and had secretly been using the operation to purge their competition while bribing the government to overlook their operations.

I wonder what’s gonna happen further down the road when California stretches it’s budget far beyond any reasonable measure providing services to people, illegal or otherwise. They already scrapped their state’s try at government healthcare because it cost too much, so hopefully they realize there are limits to how much government can reasonably provide.

Didn’t you say they deemed it, because of what Trump said? Now you say people requested it.

Still an executive order to bypass congress shouldn’t be constitutional.

If Trump didn’t something similar, people would have lit their hair on fire over it, the same way they did when he axes DACA to get congress to get immigration laws fixed.

Even Obama himself said it was temporary, but now hates it’s being canned to make congress come to a decision. I ask why is he acting that way?

I feel this is just to preserve his legacy, and ego.

@LR-Studios
It’s not already? Didn’t CNN have a special where they show people hiding illegals in the state of California?

And as you can guess, CNN made them out to be heroes.

I don’t feel like Obama’s an egoist.
I feel like he just expected a democrat to be elected and continue his policies on immigration – inaccurate expectations, surely. You said he hates that the Act’s being canned, but i feel like he still does tolerate its canning. It would be unusual for a former president to not accept seeing the next president shelving a mostly foregone conclusion that is an executive order.

Pardoning Joe Arpaio was one of the worst things Trump could have done. Not only did he absolutely not deserve it, people took one look at him doing so and rightfully wondered why the individuals covered under DACA didn’t get a pass.

@HeadlessHorselessHorseman
No matter if any of us liked it or not (I personally don’t really care) he had the power to issue said pardon. This lawsuit that seems to be taking shape will get nowhere fast on the basis of the pardon being one of the presiden’t most open ended powers on issues related to federal charges not having to deal with impeachment. As the sheriff was under this catagory, Trump’s pardon power is pretth open ended. Should Arizona decide to file state charges against Arpaio, then the only one able to bail him out would be the Governor as those would be state charges. Seing as how Arizona is a pretty conservative state, I doubt this will take place any time soon.

Like I said, I really don’t care about this one. Some people do though, enough to file a lawsuit in what I can only assume is some faint hope to get the pardon reversed and drag Arpaio back to court and then jail. This would then be followed by a rush to the hill with the result in hand in an even fainter hope of getting Trump impeached for violating the constitution via this pardon. Like I said, this one’s going nowhere.

California’s education system, at least at the college level, is pretty high ranked. That’s why most of the companies in Cali stick around despite the incredibly high tax rate. The access to talent and as an industry hub for both the tech and entertainment industry make it worth the pain for most companies that either involve or depend on patronage from those two industries. It’s unsustainable in its current form, however, as California seems to think that businesses will endure the ever increasing tax burden forever in the government’s well meaning goal to provide services to as many people as possible. Cali’s doing pretty okay for now but that can’t last forever, especially with some of the high spending proposals I see being seriously floated over there.

The way he acts says otherwise. He did a lot of shit that lost the DNC seats, he made a lot of executive orders and expanded the presidents power, and he believed he set everything up for Hydrogen Hillary to take over. Even spouting the same rhetoric that the MSM churned out, and as figured. People got sick of being told how to think.

But isn’t one of phrases that Trump likes to use “You’re gonna love it”, which sounds like a more forceful take on McDonald’s “I’m lovin’ it”?
