The stupidest thing about all this [The War on Terror] is how Osama Bin Ladin literally released a video and gave multiple speeches regarding 9/11 and his entire plan to bring down America. He literally said, “Our goal is to bring the United States into never ending wars that they cannot win but will bleed them dry until they collapse just as the Soviet Union did after becoming embroiled in Afghanistan.”So that was the assholes’ playbook. That was the premise he told his fighters they needed to understand. Attack them and they can’t help but pour trillions into ways to stop these stupid - frankly unstoppable - attacks. An attack like the one in San Bernardino may have cost $20,000 to prep and carry out and it in no significant way was a threat - especially not more than what some lunatic pulled off in Vegas years later - but in response to that $20K absolute shit terror plot, they know we will spend trillions.It will however justify every stupid decision the GOP pushes for and brainwashes their supporters to vote for.It seems if we had any fucking brains in our heads we would have listed to Bin Laden and then ensured we did not fall into that trap at all. A country that would have spent $6 trillion to have the healthiest workers, smartest students, and most well paying jobs would have been a better safeguard to domestic terrorism than anything, and it would have make our country untouchable - whereas now China is about to pass us and Russia and India and most of Asia is actively trying to create trading blocks and mini coalitions to compete against us economically - meanwhile we are jumping out of every fucking international trade treaty and organization to ensure we don’t have a seat at the table and can’t bargain or do shit in the future global economy. Fucking stupid shithead Republicans.
