One of the things that gets me when looking at images of the Saturn V is how gorram
big it is.
I visited the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. last year, and even the Saturn V’s F-1 rocket thrusters were enough to dwarf my dad and me.
It’s no wonder that the rocket’s launch apparently let out a shockwave powerful enough to send ceiling tiles falling down on Walter Cronkite when he was reporting about the Apollo 4 launch.
