Not being into anime is like not being into movies or not being into comic books. You’re basically dismissing an entire medium, one that houses many different kinds of shows that fall into different genres, and potentially missing out on something you’d love.

Sorry mate, it’s not my thing. I am aware that there is a lot of good ones, and I am also aware that there might be some that’ll catch my attention, but for now, I’m indifferent towards it. That’s not to say its influence and its popularity though.

The only reason I can think of as to why you’re indifferent is because you never actually watched any anime. If that’s the case, those anime that could catch your attention never will until you actually and go and find them on a site like Crunchyroll.
 
Or, did you just happen to start with a really bad anime and got burned off of the whole medium as a result (I’d still recommend going out and finding an anime you might like)?

Well I’ve watched Pokemon, Digimon, and a little bit of Yu-Gi-Oh back in the days, and I remember liking them. I just haven’t tried again in really finding something to watch. One day, I would like to try one out, but I’m too lazy at the moment and I keep putting it off. Again, I’m not saying all of it is bad and I do know that there are some good ones, but for now, eeehh. If you like it, then more power to you. Thanks for helping me though.

I was the opposite. Pokemon was part of my childhood growing up.

Those three you mentioned are the three I usually see mentioned as anime that people saw as kids. I was a Pokemon and Sailor Moon kid myself.
 
When/if you have the time to check something out, I would recommend something like Cowboy Bebop or The Big O, both of which are anime that take heavy inspiration from western media (Big O in particular is basically “Batman with giant robots”, which isn’t surprising since the animation studio behind it actually worked on Batman: The Animated Series).

Okay, thanks for the recommendations. My brothers (who are fans of the medium) say that they recommend Fullmetal Alchemist, Sword Art Online, Attack On Titans, and One Punch Man for me to try.

Fullmetal Alchemist is my all time favourite anime series.
 
There’s the 2003 version  
Then there’s Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
 
I can’t rank one over the other, they’re both equally fantastic.
