I’m going to replay the Mass Effect trilogy.  
I looked at the guide for maximizing the war assets found here. but two of them don’t seem right. Killing Wrex and saving the collector base.
 
Even if it is right I don’t think it’s the correct path to kill Wrex. so are they right? Is there a significant trade-off for not killing Wrex?

Honestly, you are likely to have well over the needed points easily, so don’t worry too much. You can always get the DLC to increase it further, anyway.
