Sweet F.A.
during heavy metal’s heyday in the 70’s and 80’s, the bands got accused of performing witchcraft and putting in subliminal satanic messages in their songs that encouraged suicide and Satanism.
You don’t have to remind me. I remember reading about the Judas Priest accusations, when they were accused of putting backwards subliminal messages in one of their songs encouraging young people to kill themselves. Wasn’t that a load of BS? Why would they want people to kill themselves? That would just mean that they wouldn’t be alive to buy the band’s albums.
Religion isn’t the problem, it’s those who are obsessed with it and taints their view of the world.
Well, one could also make the case that said crazies wouldn’t have a leg to stand on if religion didn’t have such a stronghold over American society.
