Can I have a side-by-side comparison? I don’t give half a damn about the show, but I am curious about what they changed.
Here’s an album with some of the fanart, followed by the original appearances of the characters in each case. (I didn’t try to find the exact original images in every single case, but this should at least give you a pretty good idea.)
 
The images I didn’t cover were either ones with characters that I already did cover elsewhere, or ones with characters I couldn’t recognize.

Those Steven Universe edits are beautiful, I say this as someone who doesn’t watch that show.
 
I remember this! It got so bad(good?) that the writers and animators of SU joined Tumblr purely to tell everyone to STOP TAKING THE BAIT.
 
Tumblr, of course, ignored them.

So I’m re-re-watching The Matrix, and I can’t help but think to myself every time I see the lobby gunbattle scene that the Columbine High School shooters must have taken inspiration from this movie, what with the trench coats and the fancy guns and stuff.
