Mando being WAY BETTER than the Disney Trilogy is very tragic.

Lucasfilm was filled with yesmen well before PM. The prequels are straight up Lucas unfiltered. I think nobody challenged him because he had become a legend, the man who made Star Wars. All the collective hard work from all the people from the OT basically was credited to him and just him.

I feel bad for the people who told Lucas no with the OT and weren’t credited for making the OT and Star Wars in general as great as it is today.

I actually watched a video the other day that was kinda about this subject in which I talks about an interview with Kennedy about the strategizing for the Sequel Trilogy she brings basically looking back at how the OT was made and pointing out that George was more in a producer role with other creators in things like the director position which is what the ST tried to emulate but I think it’s fair to say the results haven’t been stellar.  
You can point out George needed people to tale him no but Disney went to hard on that since we know they had his proposed sequel script treatments and from all appearances didn’t seem to even look at them.

From what I understand Disney doesn’t have that much to do with their various slave companies, they don’t micro management the content they make, they just want them to be profitable.
 
Any failures of Star Wars content is more on Lucasfilm specifically.

I’d say its the worst out of all 3 trilogies. Say what you will of the prequels but at least Lucas planned that shit out before filming…looks to Disney throwing away his scripts
