It bugs me a lot how the creator of this model decided not to put anything below the head, making a hollow, dark empty space as a neck.

The one they’ve complained about the most is Sa1 ofc but they were playing the Game cube version which was a completely bug filled mess of a game rather than the original which was for the Sega Dreamcast

When the Archie comics came to an end, I didn’t bat an eye.

Gamecube version actually isn’t that buggy, and Dreamcast still had quite a few bugs itself.
 
Now, the XBLA and PSN version (which I think was the one they were playing)… Ugh.
 
Of course, it also didn’t help that in their playthrough it often felt like they were going out of their way to trigger glitches that most people wouldn’t even encounter.

Yeah, while I’ve encountered some glitches, I never really got any game-breaking bugs frankly.

I still miss it personally. IDW is nice, but it’s just not the same for me. Archie Sonic is probably my favorite Sonic canon, because it fuses the game, and cartoon canons together, with some new things too.
 
Also, Plateau, no offense, but you don’t need to keep saying things like that about the comics. If you don’t like ‘em that’s fine, but please respect those of us that do.

I’d put Hot Crater (Sonic Advance 2) and Chaos Angel (Advance 3) on the GBA Era, tbh. Now the DS Era…Water Palace was fine and for Rush Adventure, I’d pick Blizzard Peaks.

Ian did admit he finds Marine annoying, but he actually finds her alot of fun to write for ‘cause she’s so crazy, so he doesn’t mind bringing her back. Strewth!  
Shame Sega forgot about her. (Or scrapped her, because she wasn’t very popular due to her comical text accent.) Last game that regards her existence is “Sonic Generations” for 3DS. (Where she appeared in unlockable concept art, or you could put her as your favorite character on your streetpass profie. Which I did admittedly. lol)

I remember Ian saying that Sega wouldn’t let him use Neo Metal Sonic or Metal Overlord during the Archie run, but I guess they relented for the IDW comic since Neo Metal Sonic is the main villain of the first major arc and has a transformation similar to Metal Overlord known as “Master Overlord”.

Neo Metal Sonic also eventually appeared in the Archie series during the Sonic Fighters arc.

Very funny, but y’know, I actually am dying to see how Jim Carry Robotnik looks. (Let’s face it, he’ll steal the show.) I wouldn’t mind him looking a li’l like the uncanny valley Eggman from StH2006, except better perhaps.

Actually, in Ken Penders’ last story arc, (#158-#159) didn’t the Metal Sonic soilders that Uncle Chuck created look a li’l reminiscent of Metal Sonic in “Sonic Heroes?” (Complete with the elf shoes.) So while Metal Overlord wasn’t allowed in, they did let them use that design.
 
At least, Sega sometimes lets up on their mandates sometimes with the comics, so they aren’t honestly as restrictive as other companies.
