Well, ASW was listed as a developer for future Switch titles. I’m not sure if that just means BlazBlue: Centralfiction, but it could also mean Cross Tag Battle is coming to the Switch.

As for the trailer itself, it’s nice (I especially liked that extended sequence with a single shot of Weiss jumping between Glyphs), though it seems more like a refresher of Weiss’ abilities/teaser of how they will look in Maya.

Why, because they only shown Ruby? Didn’t knew the game would have just five fighters. That’s a bit small for a 2v2 game roster :p
 
Considering that Blazblue Cross Tag Battle’s logo seems to be seperating the whole thing into four pieces, I’m willing to assume that RWBY is treated as a full-time series for the crossover, not as just one guest fighter. Of coursr, it still depends how many characters per franchise we’ll get, but considering that ever vanilla Marvel vs Capcom 3 had 39 characters (and that’s on relatively low end of team-based fighting games), I think 8-10 characters is feasible.
 
Also, just imagine- Jin and Jaune fighting Tsubaki and Pyrrha. Oh baby.

This is going to seem kind of out of nowhere, but do you guys think Weiss’s mother is still alive? if I had to guess, she probably isn’t. We’ve seen a portrait of her, but we haven’t seen her in person, nor have any of the characters mentioned her. And I’d like to think that she wouldn’t be allowing Jaques to run rampant with her father’s company if she still had a say in the matter.

Jaques said she was “drinking in the garden” in Volume 4, so I think not having a say in the matter doesn’t preclude still being alive.

One fanfic I remember had the fan-theory that Mrs. Schnee is the Winter Maiden, kept under deep stasis like the Fall Maiden was. Salem and Ozpin weren’t the only ones looking to claim the Maidens’ power, it seems….
