And that’s exactly what I think will happen…but Raven will stick around, unseen. Maybe Tai will be attacked, catching him unprepared, but he still manages to hold his own, but then the assailant will get in a cheap shot and deal him a painful blow, and another is coming, but Raven blocks it!
 
They’ll both be forced to face each other and come to terms with their sordid pasts.

Now that the gang is back together, I want more cute shenanigans.  
I want Weiss to be her grumpy tsun self with Yang throwing around jokes again.

Is nobody going to talk about the fact that Ozpin called Emerald’s nightmarish illusion an accurate portrayal of Salem?

Haven’t seen the episode yet, and even I know that’s true

I think one of Yang’s lines is probably the most apt summary of Raven’s character: “You may be powerful, but that doesn’t make you strong.”
 
And after so many death predictions, I managed to get one right. Though considering how many I was tossing out, I was bound to get one right eventually.

How long do you think it’ll take for the characters to put two and two together and neutralize Emerald so she can’t fool them with her illusions?
 
After two years, it’s nice to see everyone together onscreen again.
 
Wonder what’s up with Oscar? Could the strain of being bonded with Oz be putting too much strain on him?
 
I’ve already said what I needed to about the stinger. But I’ll say it again anyway: If Tai has any sense at all, then the only thing Raven will be getting from him is the finger, and the boot.
 
As it stands, Haven is safe, the White Fang is scattered with their leader on the run, the Relic is secure, and Cinder, arguably Salem’s greatest asset, is missing and presumed dead. After so long, this is exactly what the protagonists needed: a decisive victory, one that can’t be nullified by later events, and that can’t somehow be twisted to the villain’s advantage.

Im actually looking forward to the gang going to Atlas. Maybe have a Volume where saving the world is a bit on the backburner for a little while while they take the Relic to Atlas.
 
I need more episodes.where they’re just hanging out, just relaxing with friends. Itd do a LOT to flesh out the characters even more!

I have to disagree there. I hope they keep the plot moving- I feel like there was a bit too much rest and recuperation, both in the last volume, and this one as well.

You know, I just realized something. Since the relics are located at some other dimension, can it be that Salem is located behind a similar one where she can’t leave but other Grimm and people can?
 
Is that why she doesn’t do things herself? Because she can’t?

Consider that none of the students have ever seen Salem before; in fact, they only learned of her recently. He could be referring primarily to her general appearance; ie. the pale skin, red veiny markings, cloak, hair, etc. It’s possible that she does have some form of mutative powers as well, but we have no solid proof of that as it stands; only a metaphorical appearance in the title sequence and a nightmarish illusion created by an enraged and terrified Emerald.
 
Personally, I think CRWBY is trying to throw us off with that. I fear her actual powers may be much, much worse.

So far, I just see Salem as the mother of all Grimm, or perhaps a current avatar of sorts who used to be human, but was forcibly corrupted by the Grimm. To those who played and beaten Rogue Galaxy, you might see where I’m coming from.

Speaking of which, I’ve had an idea for more “humanoid” grimm for awhile, as in grimm that look like they could pass for a real human, and that’s something I wish they’d do in canon. Hell, they kinda implied that with Cinder and her arm being part Grimm…which I’m not sure how much sense that makes, but I can roll with it.

For all we know, it was either corrupted, or Cinder partook in an arm replacement surgery courtesy of both Salem and Dr. Watts

Since they’re going to Atlas next, there’s a pretty good chance they’ll come across Penny 2.0. Maybe with the old memories, maybe not.
 
This show drops things for extended periods of time quite a bit.
